My name is Sueun Kim. I am studying Art and Design at LIPC at De Montfort University. I began creating art as a high school student when I received a proposal from my art teacher. In those days, I was interested in drawing portraits of celebrities which I have enjoyed even until now. I sometimes present my drawings to my family and friends. I studied Furniture Design at Busan University in Korea, however, I wanted to change my major to interior Design because I thought Interior gives me more freedom than Furniture Design. Moreover, If I study Interior Design, I can also learn about Furniture Design.
I like to see unique and interesting interior designs. I prefer not only modern but also powerful glamour. I want to combine both features into my interior design.
Whilst researching some designers, I saw Philippe Patrick Starck who designs various modern and useful products. I heard about him at the University and recreated his ‘WW stool’ in a small size, which is the most famous product of his works. Whilst making it, I found it difficult because one product contains many features of practicality, although it looks simple. Therefore, I made myself promise that I would make practical and attractive interiors, products and furniture.

To achieve my goal, I am going to study Interior Design at De Montfort University. I will practice many kinds of drawing to find my own sketching styles.
